Hello and welcome! I’m Kimmie, the heart behind this food blog dedicated to honest, comforting Korean home cooking — the kind that brings back memories of family meals and everyday flavours from home.
Life Abroad, Craving Home
I’ve been living abroad(Europe) since 2014. As much as I’ve embraced my life abroad, one thing I constantly miss is the taste of real Korean food — not the polished versions you find in restaurants, but the everyday dishes I grew up with. Over the years, I found that while Korean food has become more popular globally, it’s still hard to find something that truly captures the flavour and feeling of home.
My Cooking Style
That’s what led me to the kitchen. I’m not a professional chef — just someone with a deep love for Korean food, a curious palate, and a desire to recreate the flavors that mean so much to me. I experiment with ingredients I can find in local supermarkets or Asian grocery shops and try to keep recipes simple, approachable, and rooted in tradition.

Fusion & Trends I Love
But I’m also excited by how Korean food is evolving. I love exploring fusion Korean recipes that have been trending on social media — dishes that creatively mix Korean flavours with global ingredients and modern techniques. From Cold salad pasta noodle to Korean-inspired chicken and rice bowls, I enjoy trying these fun, contemporary twists while keeping the soul of Korean cooking intact.
This blog is my way of sharing both the nostalgic taste of home and the exciting, ever-changing landscape of Korean food today. Whether you’re a fellow Korean living abroad, someone curious about Korean cuisine, or just looking for new ideas to cook at home, I hope you find something here that inspires you.
Let’s cook together, explore new flavors, and keep Korean food — both traditional and modern — alive in kitchens all around the world.
