  • ½ tablespoon Minced garlic – ½ tbsp
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar – 1 tbsp or lemon juice as substitute
Optional Garnish:
  • Parsley flakes, chopped spring onion, or sesame seeds

Equipment

  • 1 air fryer

Method

Prep the Chicken:
  1. (Optional) Soak chicken wings in milk for 10 minutes to remove any odor.
  2. Rinse chicken wings with water thoroughly and drain well.
Coat the Chicken:
  1. Place wings in a bowl or ziplock bag.
  2. Add starch, a pinch of salt and pepper, and 1 tbsp of vegetable oil.
  3. Shake or mix until evenly coated.
Cook the Chicken:
    Air Fryer Method:
    1. Preheat to 180°C (356°F).
    2. Cook wings 20 minutes, then flip and cook another 10–15 minutes until golden and crispy.
    Oven Method:
    1. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway.
    Make the Sauce:
    1. While wings are cooking, add all sauce ingredients to a pan.
    2. Simmer over medium heat for 3–5 minutes, until slightly thickened.
    3. Once it bubbles and becomes glossy, remove from heat.
    Coat the Wings:
    1. Add cooked wings to the sauce pan over low to medium heat.
    2. Toss quickly to coat—do not overcook in the sauce (less than 2 minutes), or it may burn.
    Serve:
    1. Plate the glazed wings.
    2. Garnish with parsley flakes, green onions, or sesame seeds if desired.
    3. Enjoy with a cold beer or your favorite drink!

    Notes

    Deep Frying (optional):
    • You can deep-fry for ultra-crispy wings, but it requires more cleanup.
    Want it spicier?
    • Add a pinch of red chili flakes or Korean gochugaru to the sauce.
Store extra sauce in the fridge—it goes great with tofu or grilled veggies.
Substitute wings with chicken thigh or breast cut into chunks for boneless bites.
