Soy Garlic Honey Chicken Wings

Soy Garlic Honey Chicken Wings

There’s something magical about fried chicken. In Korea, it’s not just food—it’s an experience. Whether you’re unwinding after a long day with a cold beer and crispy wings, or stretching out on a picnic blanket in the park during a summer evening, fried chicken fits right in. And the best part? You don’t even need to cook—it’ll come right to you, still hot and crunchy, thanks to the endless delivery options we’re lucky to have.

One summer night, I was sitting in a small park with a couple of friends. The sun had just dipped below the horizon, and we were all craving something delicious. Within minutes, we pulled out our phones and ordered our favorite: soy garlic honey chicken wings from a local fried chicken shop. The moment that sweet, savory aroma hit the air, we knew we’d made the right choice. It was the perfect pairing—golden hour, cold drinks, good company, and those sticky, addictive wings.

That memory stuck with me. So I decided to recreate those wings at home.

This soy garlic honey chicken wings recipe is inspired by that very shop—crispy, juicy, coated in a sweet and salty glaze that clings to every bite. It’s one of my all-time favorites, and now, it can be yours too.

  3. Shake or mix until evenly coated.
Cook the Chicken:
    Air Fryer Method:
    1. Preheat to 180°C (356°F).
    2. Cook wings 20 minutes, then flip and cook another 10–15 minutes until golden and crispy.
    Oven Method:
    1. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway.
    Make the Sauce:

    2. Garnish with parsley flakes, green onions, or sesame seeds if desired.
    3. Enjoy with a cold beer or your favorite drink!

    Notes

    Deep Frying (optional):
    • You can deep-fry for ultra-crispy wings, but it requires more cleanup.
    Want it spicier?
    • Add a pinch of red chili flakes or Korean gochugaru to the sauce.
Store extra sauce in the fridge—it goes great with tofu or grilled veggies.
Substitute wings with chicken thigh or breast cut into chunks for boneless bites.
